CNC Miller/Turner Machinist

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting:

We are looking for CNC Miller/Turner Machinist for a permanent position based with our clients in Leeds

Immediate start available (subject to interview process)

Salary is up to £36,000 per annum (depending on experience)

This will be working 36.5 hours per week - 4 day working week.

Working hours are Monday to Wednesday 7am - 4:45pm & Thursday 7am to 4:15pm

Job Specification Day to Day:

• Responsible for setting and operating CNC mill and turning machines
• Ensure tight tolerances on a range of machinery
• Achieve manufacturing hours and deadlines to meet the customers' needs
• Completion of inspection using Renishaw probe and various hand measuring devices
• Adherence to all Health Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
• Ensure high levels of quality and workmanship are maintained
• Support other departments in the manufacture of products
• Carry out basic machine maintenance including metal working fluid checks and pre-use safety checks
• Complete paperwork to maintain complete traceability
• Work in line with the companies Quality manuals and MOD standards
• Edit CNC programmes using Heidenhain, Siemens or Haas control for machining centres

Essential Requirements

• Apprentice trained as minimum
• Competent using Heidenhein iTNC 640 & Hass G-code control system
• Various materials including carbon steel and stainless steel
• Manufacturing to engineering drawings
• CNC Milling and Turning machines
